Corundum-mullite bricks
Description
Corundum mullite brick has a function/price ratio among existing fired zone refractories, and thus has become a widely used refractory. Different types of corundum bricks have different arrangements and functions due to different compositions and processes.
High refractoriness, up to 1790℃ or more. The starting temperature of softening under load is 1600~1700°C. The compressive strength at room temperature is 70~260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance. There are two types of sintered mullite bricks and fused mullite bricks. Sintered mullite brick is made of high alumina bauxite clinker as the main raw material, adding a small amount of clay or raw bauxite as a binder, and is made by molding and firing.
Features
Corundum mullite brick has good softening temperature under load, high temperature strength, corrosion resistance, thermal shock stability, low thermal conductivity and good hanging kiln skin.
Application
The high temperature performance of Corundum mullite brick is mainly determined by the alumina content and the homogeneity of the mullite phase and glass distribution. Mainly used for hot blast stove top, blast furnace shaft and bottom, glass melting furnace regenerator, ceramic sintering kiln, dead angle lining of petroleum cracking system, etc.

Productive Process
1.Raw material quality control including physical and chemical testing.
2.Crushing and grinding of bulk raw materials.
3. According to customer data sheet required to mixing Raw Material.
Pressing or shaping the green brick depend on different raw material and brick shape.
4.Dry the bricks at dryer kiln.
5.Put the bricks into the tunnel kiln to burning by higher temp from 1300-1800 deg.
6.The quality control department will inspect the finished refractory bricks random.
