Phenolic resin for phenolic molding compounds

Short Description:

This series of resins can effectively control the roll hardening time with advanced processing, which is characterized in good insulation, heat and humidity resistance, dimensional stability and good molding range, and have good wettability with various polar fillers. The resin can also be used for rubber modification, and the rubber strength after modification with resin is obviously improved.

Packing and storage

flake/powder: 20kg/bag、25kg/bag, Packed in woven bag, or in Kraft paper bag with plastic liner inside. Resin should be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place far away from heat source to avoid moisture and caking. Its color will become dark with the storage time, which will do no influence on the resin grade.

bakelite powder and phenolic resin powder different.

What is the difference between phenolic resin powder and bakelite powder?  bakelite’s chemical name is phenolic plastic, which is the first variety of plastics to be put into industrial production. Phenolic resin can be prepared by polycondensation of phenols and aldehydes in the presence of acidic or alkaline catalysts. Bakelite powder is obtained by fully mixing phenolic resin with sawn wood powder, talc powder (filler), urotropine (curing agent), stearic acid (lubricant), pigment, etc., and heating and mixing in a mixer. Bakelite powder was heated and pressed in the mold to obtain thermosetting phenolic plastic products.

Bakelite has high mechanical strength, good insulation, heat resistance and corrosion resistance.therefore,it is often used to manufacture electrical materials, such as switches, lamp caps, headphones, telephone casings, instrument casings, etc.“Bakelite”is named after it.
